Result Description

Bayern Munich demolished Barcelona 8–2 in one of the most extraordinary results in Champions League history. Thomas Müller scored twice, while Ivan Perišić, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and Philippe Coutinho also found the net.
Barcelona briefly levelled through a David Alaba own goal and later scored through Luis Suárez, but Bayern’s intensity and attacking efficiency overwhelmed them. The defeat became Barcelona’s heaviest ever in European competition.
