Description

The boxing year ends with a fight for history. The modern Ariake Arena stadium in Tokyo, Japan, will be the setting where Naoya Inoue and Paul Butler will fight to define who is the undisputed champion of the bantamweight division.

Inoue, undefeated with a record of 23-0-0 and 20 knockouts and one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in recent years, finished his last four fights with wins before the ninth round and will seek to repeat it at home against the Englishman Paul Butler, With a record of 34-2-0 with 15 knockouts, he was the WBO interim world champion and was elevated to the position of maximum monarch after the Filipino John Riel Casimero refused to face him for the crown. Inoue is the IBF, WBA and WBC champion.
