Description

Joshua Buatsi (19-1, 13 KOs) returns to the ring aiming to rebuild his momentum after suffering his first professional defeat to Callum Smith earlier this year. The London-based Olympic bronze medallist remains one of Britain’s top light heavyweights, known for his sharp timing, disciplined jab, and ability to control range. At 32, Buatsi is under pressure to deliver a statement win that keeps him in the mix for another world title opportunity.

Zach Parker (26-1, 18 KOs) steps in as the dangerous challenger. The Derby fighter, previously campaigning at super middleweight, is looking to reignite his career following a hand injury and a stoppage loss to John Ryder in 2022. Parker brings solid power and counterpunching instincts, making him a live underdog against the more experienced Buatsi.

Stylistically, both are orthodox fighters who prefer calculated exchanges over reckless aggression. Buatsi’s sharper fundamentals and ring IQ should allow him to dictate the pace, while Parker will look to apply steady pressure and test Buatsi’s resilience after his first career setback.
