Description

The inaugural 2026 Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR took place in September 2026 at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan. Marking the NHRA's return to Michigan for a national event after 66 years, it served as the opening race of the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. After weather pushed the eliminations to Monday, the event featured a historic, record-shattering day of racing.
Historic Top Fuel Speed: Shawn Langdon dominated the field. During the semifinals against Doug Kalitta, he set the fastest run in NHRA history at 3.663 seconds at 346.95 mph, backing it up with another 346 mph pass in the final round to take the points lead.
