Description

Austin Hitt won the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region. He shot a final-round 5-under 66 under rainy conditions at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia, finishing with a total score of 20-under 264.
The season-ending tournament, which took place from 8–11 October 2026, marked the first year of a new partnership hosting the event in the Richmond region. The total prize purse was $1,500,000, with Hitt claiming the top prize of $270,000.
The tournament served as the high-stakes finale to decide who finishes in the top 20 of the season-long points standings to earn their 2027 PGA Tour cards. By winning the tournament, Austin Hitt vaulted from No. 22 to No. 6 on the points list to secure his graduate card.
History for Blades Brown: Despite missing out on the tournament victory, 19-year-old runner-up Blades Brown made history by becoming the youngest player ever to earn a PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour.
Ross Steelman finished the tournament tied for 12th, which was enough to overtake Sandy Scott and finish as the No. 1 player on the final 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List. This earned him fully exempt status, including spots in the 2027 Players Championship and the 2027 U.S. Open.
