Description

Christian Medina and Adrian Curiel headline a high-stakes world title clash when they meet for the WBO bantamweight championship in Guadalajara, live on DAZN.

With a world belt on the line at 118 pounds, the bout places the bantamweight division firmly in the spotlight, as Medina makes the first defence of the title he claimed last September.

For Medina, this fight represents the first true test of his reign after dethroning Yoshiki Takei to become the WBO champion, a result that propelled him into the global conversation and a No. 2 ranking with The Ring.

For Curiel, the bout offers a route back into world-title relevance after an uneven run at junior flyweight, with the Mexican challenger now attempting to reinvent himself at bantamweight and seize an opportunity few expected would come so quickly.

Medina enters as a young, explosive champion with momentum and knockout power, while Curiel arrives as a seasoned fighter with recent world-level setbacks and is determined to prove he still belongs on the elite stage.
