Description

The second day of the 2026 Copa del Rey at the Roig Arena features a tactical showdown as Kosner Baskonia takes on La Laguna Tenerife (CB 1939 Canarias). Baskonia enters the tournament with renewed energy under coach Paolo Galbiati, looking to translate their explosive offensive potential into a deep cup run. However, they face a Tenerife side renowned for its veteran poise and the legendary pick-and-roll partnership between Marcelinho Huertas and Giorgi Shermadini. While Baskonia will look to push the pace and utilize the scoring gravity of Markus Howard, Tenerife’s ability to control the tempo and exploit mismatches in the half-court has historically made them a nightmare matchup for the Vitoria-based team. With a semi-final berth on the line, this clash of styles will determine who moves one step closer to the trophy.
