Description

The third round of the Ford Women's NSW Open marks the pivotal "Moving Day" at the Wollongong Golf Club. Following a grueling Friday where many players had to navigate 36 holes to catch up on the schedule, the focus shifts to the top of the leaderboard as the international field battles for positioning. All eyes are on Irish rookie Aine Donegan, who enters the weekend with a two-stroke cushion after her sensational course-record 63. She faces a stiff challenge from a local favorite, Sarah Kemp, who is fueled by home support and a remarkable comeback from injury. With the coastal winds of the Pacific often intensifying in the afternoon, the leaders will need to show immense discipline on the greens to maintain their advantage. The open-access format, allowing fans to walk the fairways alongside their favorite pros, is expected to create an electric atmosphere as the race for the Jan Stephenson Trophy enters its final stages.
