Description

The third round of the 119th Visa Argentina Open presented by Macro is set to be a high-stakes "Moving Day" at the historic Jockey Club. With the field now trimmed after the 36-hole cut, the focus shifts to a crowded leaderboard where six players entered the weekend tied for the lead at 11-under par. Among them, Jackson Van Paris and Hunter Eichhorn have shown remarkable poise on the Alister MacKenzie-designed greens, but they face a relentless chasing pack that includes veteran Russell Knox and the consistent Alistair Docherty.

The stakes are uniquely high this week in Buenos Aires; beyond the Korn Ferry Tour points, the winner will secure a life-changing exemption into The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale. As the afternoon breeze typically picks up over the tight, tree-lined fairways, precision off the tee and imaginative chipping will be the difference between those who surge toward the trophy and those who fall back. Local fans will also be watching closely to see if any Argentine stars can mount a Saturday charge to bring the national title home.
