Description

The Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank enters its pivotal third round at the Prince of Wales Country Club. Following a high-scoring start to the tournament, the "Moving Day" narrative is dominated by a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard. The par-71 parkland layout is expected to play its firmest today as the Santiago sun bakes the greens, making approach-shot control the most critical factor for those chasing the $1,000,000 purse.

All eyes are on the final group consisting of Doc Redman, Davis Shore, and Argentine veteran Augusto Núñez, who all sit at 9-under-par. For Núñez, a strong Saturday performance could solidify his position as the man to beat, while Redman looks to leverage his PGA TOUR experience to pull away. Home favorites Cristóbal del Solar and Gustavo Silva also carry the weight of the Chilean gallery; both successfully navigated the cut and will be looking for a low "Moving Day" score to put themselves in striking distance for Sunday's finale.
