Description

The second round at La Vie Est Belle Golf & Resort serves as the critical "cut day" for the KPGA Tour's season opener in Chuncheon. The primary challenge for the field is the Oaks Course’s increasingly firm surfaces, which require precise distance control to hold the tiered greens. The objective for the overnight leaders is to maintain their scoring momentum while navigating the unpredictable mountain breezes that typically pick up during the afternoon wave.

Strategically, the round is a test of course management on the difficult par-4s. The goal for the players is to navigate the "high-risk, high-reward" layout without falling victim to the strategically placed water hazards that guard the 15th and 17th greens. With the cut line projected to be competitive, the tactical focus for those on the bubble is to secure early birdies on the front nine to provide a safety cushion for the more penalizing closing stretch.
