Description

The third round at La Vie Est Belle Golf & Resort serves as the pivotal "Moving Day" for the KPGA Tour’s season opener in Chuncheon. The primary challenge for the field is navigating the Oaks Course’s increasingly complex pin positions, which are traditionally placed near the steep slopes of the tiered greens for the weekend rounds. The objective for the leaders is to maintain their composure and avoid the three-putts that can quickly erase a multi-stroke advantage on these surfaces.

Strategically, the round is a test of aggressive scoring on the par-5s, particularly the 6th and 11th holes, which offer the best opportunities to climb the leaderboard before the final day. The goal for the chasers is to post a low number early in the day before the afternoon winds begin to impact club selection on the exposed ridge-line holes. With a ₩1,000,000,000 purse at stake, the tactical focus remains on "positional golf" to ensure clear approach angles into the narrow, well-guarded greens.
