Description

The final round at Killarney Country Club marks the first trophy presentation of the 2026–27 Betway Big Easy Tour season. The primary challenge for the field is the demanding back-nine stretch, where Killarney’s narrow, tree-lined fairways leave little room for error when the pressure is at its peak. The objective for the overnight leaders is to maintain their composure on the small, tiered greens, which are expected to be at their firmest under the clear Johannesburg afternoon sky.

Strategically, the final 18 holes are a test of nerve and precision. The goal for the chasing pack is to capitalize on the early "scoring holes" on the front nine to apply pressure before the leaders reach the tighter closing holes. The tactical focus remains the par-5 15th, a crucial risk-reward opportunity that often dictates the final leaderboard standings. With the first R150,000 purse of the season and significant Order of Merit points on the line, the ultimate goal for the contenders is to navigate the "high-stakes" environment and secure an early advantage in the race for Sunshine Tour promotion.
