Description

The Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra takes center stage this Friday for The Rise Continues, a high-stakes promotion by Legacy Rise Sports in association with Matchroom Boxing. The primary challenge for the rising Ghanaian star Theophilus “Theo Lopez” Allotey is the defensive durability of Namibia's Jonas Erastus. The objective for Allotey is to capture the WBA Africa Super Flyweight Gold title and break into the WBA world rankings, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most explosive talents in the 115lb division.

Strategically, this 10-round main event is a test of Allotey’s power versus Erastus’s resilience. The goal for Allotey, an unbeaten southpaw with a high knockout ratio, is to establish his rhythm early and use his superior speed to overwhelm the visitor. The tactical focus for Erastus is to weather the early storm and use his height to keep the fight at distance, hoping to exploit any gaps in the younger man's defense as the rounds progress. With a massive local crowd expected and global streaming coverage, the ultimate goal for Allotey is a clinical victory that propels him toward a world title opportunity later in 2026.
