Description

The final round at PGA Riviera Maya presents the ultimate test of nerve amidst the limestone and jungle of the Mexican Caribbean. The primary challenge for the leaders is the stretch of holes from 13 through 16, where narrow landing areas and water hazards can quickly derail a championship run. The objective for the overnight leaders is to remain patient while the wind from the coast typically freshens in the afternoon, making club selection on the daunting par-3s a strategic priority.

Strategically, the goal for the field is to find the fairway to avoid the "rocky" lies and dense brush that characterize this Robert Trent Jones Jr. layout. The tactical focus for the final groups will be to capitalize on the par-5 18th, which serves as a reachable risk-reward opportunity for those needing a closing birdie or eagle to secure the trophy. With a life-changing PGA TOUR card points on the line, the ultimate goal is to maintain composure under the heat to be crowned the champion in Tulum.
