Description

The PGA TOUR Americas field prepares for the critical second round at the historic Cordoba Golf Club in Villa Allende, Argentina. The primary challenge of this 94-year-old classic is its narrow, "Parkland" corridors lined with mature Tipa trees and undulating greens that demand elite-level iron play. The objective for the field is to navigate the elevation changes characteristic of the Cordoba region to secure a spot above the mid-tournament cut line.

Strategically, the goal for Round 2 is to post a score that accounts for the shifting winds that often intensify over the hills of Villa Allende in the afternoon. The tactical focus for top contenders—including those looking to follow in the footsteps of local legend Angel "El Pato" Cabrera—is to avoid the penalizing groves that guard the fairways while attacking the reachable par-5s. With the race for the Fortinet Cup heating up, the ultimate goal for the second round is to find a red-number rhythm to secure a late-afternoon pairing for the weekend.
