Description

The 94th edition of the historic Abierto del Centro reaches its climax at the legendary Cordoba Golf Club in Villa Allende. The primary challenge of the final round is navigating the narrow, tree-lined fairways of the "Parkland" classic under the intense pressure of a PGA TOUR Americas trophy ceremony. The objective for the leaders—entering the final 18 holes of this prestigious Argentine event—is to master the technical nuances and elevation changes that have historically favored precise ball-strikers over long hitters.

Strategically, the goal for the final round is to maintain discipline through the difficult "Amen Corner" of the back nine, where the mature Tipa trees create narrow corridors that demand perfect placement. The tactical focus for the final pairing is to stay aggressive on the par-5s, particularly the closing 18th, while showing defensive respect to the small, tiered greens that can quickly derail a championship charge. With 500 Fortinet Cup points and the honor of winning a tournament won multiple times by local heroes like Angel Cabrera and Eduardo Romero, the ultimate goal is to deliver a steady performance in front of the passionate Cordoba galleries.
