Jak Jones is the champion of the 2026 Unibet British Open, after defeating Mark Selby 10–6 in the final on 6 September 2026. The match was held at The Centaur in Cheltenham, England, where the 33-year-old Welshman secured the biggest title of his career, lifting the Clive Everton Trophy along with the £100,000 top prize.
Afternoon Session (4–4): The players went toe-to-toe. Selby showcased his scoring power with a superb 139 break in frame two. However, Jones matched him frame-for-frame, executing a vital steal in the seventh frame to keep things level at the interva.
Evening Session (6–2 to Jones): Selby quickly levelled at 5–5 with another century break (100). From there, Jones took control by winning five of the final six frames in a rigorous war of attrition. Jones capitalized on late errors, including a missed green by Selby on the colours, to cross the finish line.
