Description

Josh Cook won Race 1 (Round 22) of the British Touring Car Championship at Croft Circuit. Driving for Speedworks Corolla Racing, Cook claimed a lights-to-flag victory in heavily rain-affected conditions.
The race was filled with drama as trailing title contenders Tom Ingram and Dan Cammish were both hit with five-second penalties for track-limit infringements. On the fading wet tyres, Ingram managed to overtake both NAPA Racing Fords and crossed the finish line first on the road, but his time penalty ultimately demoted him to third place. Ash Sutton took second, inheriting the spot due to the penalties, while Cammish settled for fourth
